VPN: Is it possible to set up specific program to run on connection.

Thanks for the help with the laggy HTML 5 issue.

I still need to get a specific user now using VPN to run a server specific program on connection.
Have looked through VPN settings etc. I am guessing that if it is at all possible it will be a firewall setting.

Any assistance with this most welcome.

    Could be a firewall, DNS, or both issue.

    What type of VPN are you using and what kind of connection to the server is it?

    The more specific you are with information, the more specific the answers can be.


    Edit:  Looking at the other thread, it's RDP and SSL VPN.  If you are connecting via IP address, then DNS shouldn't be an issue.  

    Have you put in place a firewall rule to allow RDP between the SSL VPN network and this server or did you check the box in the VPN setup for automatic firewall rule?  Check the firewall log for the connection attempts.  Also check the IPS log, just in case.

    Is the internal network range of the user different than the internal network range that the server is on?  Example:  If your work network is 192.168.0.X and the remote user at home is also using 192.168.0.X, the connection will not work correctly.
