sharepoint site via html5 vpn portal

i have a sharepoint site i need to publish to the internet, and i'm trying to do it via the html5 portal so that i don't need yet another certificate.

while the site can be accessed internally by ip address, server name, and fqdn server name, when i try to access it externally i get a 404 error

http://hostname:7000
http://hostname.internal.domain.name:7000
http://10.1.2.12:7000

yes it's on port 7000, i don't know why except it's probably something to do with having multiple sharepoints on this server

any suggestions welcome

regards
andrew

  • Hi, Andrew, and welcome to the User BB!

With which browser version did you try this?  I prefer Firefox 36 for the HTML5 VPN.
