SSL VPN on a Chromebook?

Has anyone here been able to get SSL VPN connections working with Chromebooks?

I'm assuming that the SSL VPN is OpenVPN under-the-hood. (Is that wrong)?

Anyway, I've grabbed the VPN config from the User Portal, imported the VPN CA and user Certs into the Chromebook, and are attempting to add an OpenVPN connection type using that information. But I just get a "connect failed" message when doing so. Unfortunately, ChromeOS doesn't support importing .ovpn files yet.

Any ideas? Anyone got this working?
