VPN POOL (L2TP) - Multiple Clients Get Same IP

We have been using VPN Pool for our L2TP IPs since 2012.

After updating to 8.11 we started seeing connection problems due to some clients getting same IP address. 

We are now on version 9.201.23 and the issue is still there.

VPN Pool is configured for network 172.20.6.0/26 and the UTM seems to have a hang on the first address 172.20.6.2 which goes out to multiple clients. Can´t see any relation to a specific Windows version. Just seems to affect some clients and not others.

Any ideas how to fix this?

    had a similar issue to this with our ssl vpn.

    I just recreated the ip pool and problem solved it for myself.

    the other thing to be careful of is if you have site to site ipsec as well and its not using the same ip pool.

    I recreated the IP Pool. It solved the duplicate IPs but gave me another issue. The L2TP VPN would connect but the firewall was blocking all traffic to the network.
    Our old config had no local VPN users, only AD Users via RADIUS. That configuration was no longer working.
    Did some quick RTFM and it seems that now you now have to duplicate the AD user in the UTM and set RADIUS authentification for each user. Then add the users network object to the firewall rule for the L2TP VPN.
    Makes for a lot more work but at least everything UTM is working again.
