Slow upload with Cisco VPN Client

I'm evaluating the Sophos for one of my clients as we're moving them away from their Cisco equipment, one of the features I like is that they can keep using their Cisco VPN client with a new connection profile.

In my tests I'm evaluating the SSL-VPN Client and the Cisco VPN Client
When using the SSL-VPN client I'm getting transfer speeds for 3MB/sec download and upload which isn't too bad on their 100mb connection

On the Cisco VPN client I'm getting a download speed of 10MB/sec which is great but my upload to the server is about 600KB/sec, what can I do to increase this?

  • Try #1 in Rulz.  Any luck with that?

I like to use the UDP protocol with SSL VPNs as that accelerates them a bit.  Some suggest that staying with 443 TCP is less likely to be blocked in hotels and public hotspots.

  • Thanks for the reply
I don't have intrusion prevention or application control turned on currently

As well I've changed the SSL-VPN to UDP but I don't see how that would affect the Cisco portion of it as the 2 are different technologies
