Domain Admins group not working

I have a couple of HTML5 vpn connections that I want to limit to domain admins. I created the group and linked it back to the AD group Domain Admins. It doesn't work (doesn't show up in user portal). If I use another group (Domain Users, VPN Users) it seems to work just fine. I created another group called SystemAdmins and added Domain Admins to that group, but that didn't work either. Is this on purpose, maybe its not recommended to use this group? If not, how can I troubleshoot this. I haven't been able to find a log that has an entry for this group.

I am running 9.109-1 of the UTM firmware.

    In general, I've not had much luck using built-in groups from AD.  What do you see in the User Authentication log and in the log on the Windows Server when a Domain Admin tries to log in?
