HTML5 VPN - Mouse does not function

Hello all, first time posting. I searched for this topic but was not able to find anything so I thought I would post.

I am able to access my portal and HTML5 connection I have set up to one of my internal computers. However, once the connection is established I cannot use the mouse to interact with the computer. I am able to sign in and navigate using the keyboard, however.

Browsers attempted: IE 11, recent version of Chrome
UTM 9 - 9.108.23
Client computer is running Windows 8.1

Any ideas?

  • This appears to be a bug with remote access to a Windows 8.1 client. HTML5 connections to a Windows 7 machine works correctly regarding the mouse.

    Try Firefox on Win 8 to access the HTML5 portal.  Any luck with that?

  • Ran into the same thing. Bob's workaround does the trick, but obviously not ideal to eliminate one of the more popular browsers...

    Any word from Sophos on whether this will be addressed anytime soon? Considering it's been over seven months since this thread started, I'm guessing not...
