Remote access VPN + Health checks

Hi,

Before allowing user to access network resources via VPN (SSL VPN) I would like to have a decent check such as:
1. Windows updates are present (specific updates).
2. Sophos AV is running (no infections found and that it is up2date).

If it is possible how can I achieve this ?
