Mac OS 10.9.1 Cisco IPSec VPN configuration

Hi - We're testing UTM 9.0 through the Amazon Marketplace version.

We have >50% Macs in our environment. We have been able to correctly configure & test SSL VPN on our Macs.

We've been unable to configure Cisco IPSec (using the native Mac VPN client), L2TP over IPSec or PPTP.

Has anyone been able to us the native Mac VPN Client?

I would like to know that as well.. I have also tried and failed.. But SSL with Tunnelbrick works fine..

  • Hi, jacobp and kholmqvist, and welcome to the User BB!

This should work with the right configuration, but won't work at all if the Mac Cisco client doesn't let you adjust for the NAT used at AWS.  I doubt that the L2TP/IPsec Mac client has that capability.

It's not currently possible to configure WebAdmin to do this for a generic client, but there's a Feature request for it.  Something can be done at the command line.

Easiest, indeed, is to use Tunnelblick.

    Cheers - Bob
