Red 50 or UTM110

Can I check if the Red 50 can be setup to for BGP VPN connections to AWS VPC?

If not do I need to get a UTM 110 or which other entry level appliance will give me BGP VPN functionality?

    BGP VPN?

    BGP is a routing protocoal..vpn is a secure tunneling protocol..they aren't the same thing.  You don't have to have the unit(red/asg) doing bgp to setup a vpn back to your main base unless you have some kind of unique setup.

    Hi William

    I would like to use Dynamic routing.

    When you create a VPN connection, you must specify the type of routing that you plan to use. Does the Red 50 support Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), so one specifies dynamic routing when you configure your VPN connection.

    I still don't really get what you want to achieve, but a RED can only connect to a predefined FQDN (which should be the UTM it's connected to).
    RED's routing capabilities are limited and it only sends through the (already established) tunnel that what is configured in the UTM).
    So I suppose you need a UTM if you need anything with BGP.

    What problem are you trying to resolve?  Depending on where your public IP range is located, you might be able to do what you want, but we need to understand the problem before we can help craft a solution.
