ssl vpn and admin right on win 7

hello,

I use utm sophos 9.1 (last release) and windows 7 with local standard user.

When i run ssl sophos vpn, access to server don't work because   i have a route problem due to admin right with route.exe

what is the solution ?

The link 'Installing Astaro SSL VPN client under Windows 7 without full administrative user rights' don't work

  • Yes, with V9, it also should be sufficient to run the Sophos SSL VPN Client installation program "as Administrator."

It should be, but I have some 20 SSL-users (mostly non-administrators) and for 2 of them it just didn't work without making them a local network operator.

Managing several Sophos UTMs and Sophos XGs both at work and at some home locations, dedicated to continuously improve IT-security and feeling well helping others with their IT-security challenges.

Sometimes I post some useful tips on my blog, see blog.pijnappels.eu/category/sophos/ for Sophos related posts.

  • there are new manuals in the Sophos Knowledge base but it does not show you need to have administrative permissions to use the SSL VPN Client.

Just made a test today and it was working with normal user rights (domain user and laptop) it think.

    Can somebody confirm the same?
