I'm an intermittent user of the L2TP VPN on my UTM [gotta love acronyms] and I'm finding I cannot connect anymore. I pulled up various logs and SSL remains blank. If I remember there is no dedicated L2TP log. When I attempt a connection I get a firewall log entry indicating UDP port 1701 being blocked via the Default ruleset.
Am I missing something basic here?
Yes, L2TP over IPsec status is green (active/on)

UPDATE--
I assume the UDP 1701 is correctly blocked for security.
Looking at wrong log: IPsec VPN held the answers. Passphrase mismatch Sheesh!
