PPPOE Static IP L2TP WITHOUT IPSec

It's not even possible to make an L2TP WAN connection WITH IPsec.  Be sure to tell them that you only can use their router if it can be bridged.

Yes, but it's not possible to define a UTM 'Interface' that connects with L2TP.  Instead of using NAT in the Zyxel, you'll want to bridge it so that you can get a public IP on your UTM.

Ok I kinda follow, so would i need to get this Zyxel in order to receive the static IP address from my ISP as I think the connection will only work once the L2TP connection has been established?

What is the model number of the Zyxel?

There are 2 router models:

Zyxel P-2812HNU
Billion BiPAC 7402GX

I just spent three minutes looking at the User's Guide for the Zyxel.  My quick reading gave me the impression that it can't be bridged when connecting via L2TP/IPsec.  You'll want to confirm with them that you can get a public IP on your UTM.  If your ISP is like AT&T here in the USA, you'll have to pay them to help you with "advanced" services if you wait to get answers after you've already purchased.

Thanks I shall checked with them but I get a generic response:
"Unfortunately you would need the Billion router and set up the L2tp settings on that Billion router instead."

So it seems they are not aware of the Zyxel and they do not provide me with any support in terms of obtaining a static IP [:(]

Thanks Bob, what I will do is I will do more research on it and test the service to see if there is a way around it, the only problem is using their routers.
