VPN Tunnel Between the UTM and a Buffalo Router

Hey Everyone,

I have googled around for this for weeks to see if anyone has attempted this but so far I have come up short.

My friend just got a Buffalo router running ddwrt.  I was wondering if there is a way to do a site to site vpn between me and him.  I can't do LPSEC since I'm already using 443 for ssl websites.  (I guess I could order a IP stack of 5 from Comcast but I don't really need that many 1 is plenty)  Has anyone attempted this and if so how did it go?  Thank you all in advance for your help with this.  I also apologize if this has been previously addressed and I just couldn't find it.

  • Hi, I think you meant to say you can't do SSL because you're using port 443 already.

    IPSEC uses other ports.

However, you can change the SSL VPN port.

SSL VPNs are normally much easier to configure; I'd recommend trying that first.

Another option would be to setup Dynamic DNS for both ends and just use firewall rules instead of VPNs.
