Cannot ping a device on internal network from the SSL VPN client

Hi,

I am having a problem with a device on the internal network which I cannot access from the SSL VPN client.

ASG 8.309
The device has a static IP - 10.228.100.55
The internal network is the allowed network in the SSL VPN configuration - 10.228.100.0/24
Automatic firewall rules are ON
DNS is fine
I can ping this device from any PC on the internal network, from the ASG box itself, but not from the VPN clients.
When I do tracert from the VPN client, the first hop is onto 10.242.2.1, the next one is supposed to be the device itself but it is not reachable.
I can tracert all the other PCs in the same subnet all right. The route is the same. 10.242.2.1 then the destination PC.
What and how can I check. I do not see anything in the logs and am very confused. Thanks.
