Issue with HTML5 VPN RDP on iOS and Android?

Hi,

Has anyone run into an issue where they cannot input characters from their iOS or Android tablet once they connect via RDP to the windows login screens?

Basically, I can connect to the windows machine via RDP, but can't enter in my credentials to log in.

Performing the same task works on a desktop PC with Firefox

I am running UTM9 VM (Updated to the latest firmware, 9.1)

I have tested firefox and opera on a Samsung Galaxy Tablet (running Android 3.2) and safari on an iPhone 4S.

If anyone has any insight as to what I can try to correct this problem, I'm all ears.

If there is no fix, would using IPsec or the Cisco VPN on the devices allow me to RDP in via the VPN connection that way?

    Hi, KLee, and welcome to the User BB!

    I haven't tried RDP without VPN with my iPhone for security reasons.  Or, are you connecting to the network via WiFi?

    If not, please [Go Advanced] and attach a picture of the Edit of the DNAT you're using.  Also, confirm that the target of the DNAT isn't bound to a specific interface, that it has 'Interface: >'.

    I'm connecting via my WiFi network (both the samsung device and the iPhone).

    When you mention to go to "Advanced", is that from the UTM admin site?

    I am using 9.100-16 on the VM.

    The touch screen works fine. I can click on the boxes and click on the login portraits. However, whenever I bring up the virtual keyboard on my tablet, any input I give it doesn't show up in the RDP window.

    I had previously done some searching and found this thread:

    This is the exact same error / issue I am getting. However, in my case, I'm not sure the fix for whatever was done there works for my situation.

    Other than the hiccup I'm having, the UTM looks like a pretty powerful piece of kit.
