VPN address scheme

Hi,

I have setup an SSL VPN and an L2TP VPN on my ASG 220.  The L2TP we are using for iOS devices.   Everything works perfectly when I access my internal network resources from my LTE iPhone service. However, when I connect the VPN over Wi-Fi it cannot find any 192.168.1.*** resources   I assume this is due to an address scheming problem? Can anyone help?

  • Barry, I agree that subnets in 192.168/16 should only be used for residential networks or public hotspots, but we usually suggest that small/medium-sized businesses use subnets in 172.16/12 and that they leave the VPN Pools with the default 10.242 subnets.  If they insist on using 10. subnets, we remind them to keep them reasonably-sized.

Mattnkara, the real answer is to change the subnetting at your office.  If you have a lot of manual, fixed IPs, there are some tricks you can use.

    Cheers - Bob
