VPN Client Problem

Hello together,

i don´t know if there is any other thread with the same Problem!
Now i want to describe my Problem.
We use the Astaro VPN Client to connect from outside to the Astaro Firewall. After the installation the VPN Client works very well baut if i disconnect it and try to connect again i have some trouble.
I get the connection and the traffic light is green but i havn´t noc Access to the Network. I got the message Problems with the static routes.
For your Information the user didn´t have admin rights.
I deinstall the VPN Client and install it again and it works perfekt.
now my question, has anyone a idea what could be the Problem?

Isn't this the old problem with needing to start the SSL VPN client with run as administrator?

I seem to be having the same issue, under Win8. I did lunch the launcher as administrator.

I just dont have the setup anymore, so I can't try to re-install.

Any other idea?

The vpn still work when I connect over my phone.

We have similar problem on some client machines.

Compare the IP assigned to TUN device and the IP it should have (logfile)

Sometimes the device holds the first IP assigend after boot and does not release/replace it. We did not find any common settings on the affected machines.

The only way is reboot or deactivate/activate the network device manually.

Rebooting + re-installing the VPN over fixed the issue for now.. (I was able to download the client over my phone openvpn and copy it back to the PC..)

I will look at the IP next time I have issue with it.

I have a problem with routing with sophos client (https://community.sophos.com/products/unified-threat-management/astaroorg/f/58/t/54899), did not found solution yet.
I just press "reconnect" and check default gateway until it's correct.
Will try with original OpenVPN client next time.
