SSL VPN interface configuration

I need to change the configuration of my public facing interface. In the past when I've attempted any changes on it my VPN sessions would not reconnect.

Are the VPN certificates in any way tied to the specific interface (e.g. MAC address) or configuration thereof?

  • I currently have two physical interfaces that are bridged. I need to change to non-bridged operation. I have both site-to-site and remote access VPN's which connect to one of the bridged interfaces. If I assign the same IP address to the public facing interface, will that have any impact?  I was wondering if there is something in the certificates that ties VPNs to specific hardware  or logical interfaces.
