NETBIOS / WINS over SSL VPN

Hi,

i had another trouble with my SSL VPN clients.

It is not possible to resolve Netbios Names by broadcast (normal due routing), but also i can not resolve the names by WINS.

On the VPN/Advanced settings page you can add DNS/WINS/Domain for the VPN Clients. But the clients could not resolve system names.

The WINS Server runs quite good.

My problem ist that we use DFS with shares, for that task netbios is required, or i have to resetup the DFS root to support DNS (long task;-))

Does anybody have a solution for that?

In order to allow the SSL client to set the routes, you must run it as administrator.

Hi BAlfson,

the set route command works quite good.

I can reach all destinations by DNS but not by NB.

Today i`ll try to check the traffic by wireshark, to review what is the problem during the communication.

Exactly same problem here... since i used Sophos XG I had this problem...!
