Replace DNS-Name with Official IP-Adress in Cisco iOS-VPN

Hi there,

please help me with the following problem:

i have configured a cisco iOS Access for my iphone.
the dns-name of the sophos is set per default in the iOS settings on the phone

is it possible to replace the dns name with the ip-adress of the sophos later on the ios device?

i don`t want to let a thief see the official dns name of my sophos .

    I'm pretty certain that that depends on the server certicicate you chose during the configuration in the Sophos.  Create a new one with 'VPN ID Type: IP Address' and select that one instead.  (Careful, you should fill in all of the fields when you define a new cert.)  Now, reinstall on your iPhone.

    Did that do what you wanted?

    Hey Bob,

    it works after creating the new Certificate!
    The problem now is, when i download the news configuration files to an iphone, the dns name of the sophos is written in the config.

    I can now change the setting of the dns name to the public IP-Adress and everything works fine.

    But iOS doesn`t let me change the name of the vpn connection. and the connection name is DNS-Name of the Sophos.

    Any other hints?
