where do i get ssl vpn client?

I see people referring to using the Sophos/Astaro SSL VPN Client where can i obtain this client. Secondly i have a need for a user to access a single machine behind the firewall and would like to use SSL or the new HTML portal but im a firewall newbie. Are there any good guides that walk you through step by step and explain what settings do, best practices etc.

    Hi, rennocneb, and welcome to the User BB!

    Configure 'Management >> User Portal'.  You then can log into it and you will find everything you need if your user is configured to use the SSL VPN.  I would suggest that a home user would want to go to the 'Settings' tab to choose a different port (I use 3443) and change the 'Protocol' to UDP before downloading the client and settings.

    In Vista/Win7, you should install the client  with 'Run as administrator'.

    thanks for the information i found that myself yesterday. Be nice if their guide mentioned the need to turn on the user portal. Now question can i split tunnel somehow so i can have internet access on my work pc using works connection, but still be connected to home via vpn?

    In the configuration, just put your home LAN(s) into 'Local networks' instead of "Any".  You might want to check your company's rules to be certain you are allowed to connect via VPN to an external network.
