subnet for PPTP/VPN

I have the PPTP working good, I can connect to the net work, am on the right IP scheme from my own DHCP server on the LAN, I have turn off "the the default gateway of the network" on the windows client.

now the problem is how its setting the subnet mask. we run a 255.255.0.0, and its setting it to 255.255.255.255 so there is no possibly way to ping or RDP to anything inside the network..

Ideas? hints? tricks graciously accepted!

Hi,

1. make sure the PPTP address pool is a different network than your LAN.

2. you'll need a packetfilter rule to allow the PPTP pool to connect to the LAN.

so the rule should say..

VPN(PPTP Pool)===> internal network

OR

VPN(PPTP Pool) ====> Any
