Sophos SSL VPN Client not working with Windows 8 RTM

Hi there!

I installed Windows 8 x64 Enterprise (RTM) and installed the Sophos SSL VPN Client from UTM v9. When I want to connect to a customer, the connection is running into a timeout without a single log entry. Does anyone else have this problem? Services are installed correctly. With Astaro SSL VPN Client everything is working correctly.

    Thank you for providing the error message. Seems to be a slightly modified behavior with peeking at named pipes in Windows 8. I'll take care of it. 

    Until then I suppose there's no other chance to get the client working, but to turn off the OpenVPN Interactive Service. SSL VPN will then require Adminisrative privileges to set the routes, again. So, start the GUI as Administrator, please.

    Hi,

    Windows 8 RTM: I don't know if it has something to do with making the above change. But after doing that, the GUI doesn't update itself correctly. The lights say connecting and also the pop-up hint says connecting forever, but it's already connected. Also disconnecting has the same behavior. The VPN is disconnected, but the GUI still reports 'connecting'. Right clicking on the GUI show greyed out 'connect' and 'disconnect' buttons so I'm not able to connect the VPN anymore until I exit the GUI and start it again.
