VPN ID type field suddenly gone

Hi,

I am experiencing the following problem on 8.303:
After changing the "VPN ID type" field from "Hostname" to "IP" this field is completely gone!
A reboot doesn't work, the field doesn't come back anymore.

Please see both screenshots, first one with the missing field, second taken from another 8.303 where this field shows up as it should, but wasn't changed at all.

How can I get back this field?

Is there anyone who can help me out there?

This kind of thing is usually a browser issue. Try closing all browser windows, and then open one and clear the local cache. Did that resolve your issue?

Sorry, forgot to mention that I checked that with the three major browsers, all with their caches completely cleared. ?!?

Michael, what happens if you restart the Astaro or restore from the last configuration backup?

I would love to avoid this step as I changed some more things on that box.
Do you see / know another possibility? Maybe?

Did you try shutting down from the Management menu to force a regular powerdown?

Oh, as I am only remote at the moment I can't do that right now. Tomorrow I could tell the customer but I don't believe he would do that.
Is there a difference between a complete shutdown and re-powering on and a simple reboot?

I don't know why there is any difference, but recently, I personally had that experience with the Astaro in our office. I'd definitely try the reboot first though.

This is a known issue, will be fixed in the 8.305 or you can fix it by yourself [;)]

20268: Local RSA key VPN options: after choosing IP address as VPN ID type you can't choose an other VPN ID type

workaround:

login with ssh become root and type:
cc [enter]
RAW [enter]
lock_override [enter]
OBJS [enter]
ca [enter]
rsa [enter]
Change into the object by entering the REF_ID of the object
vpn_id='thenewvpnid' [enter]
vpn_id_type='fqdn' [enter]
w [enter]
