VPN Site to Site Tunnels Aggregation

Hi all,

Hope all is well.

I know Astaro can do Internet Link Load Balancing, what about VPN Site to Site tunnels? and if yes, can they be aggregated?

I have a big customer who needs this feature.

    Not sure what your question is, but you can't establish more than one tunnel to the same subnet (routing), so you can't aggregate two tunnels to a location to get higher throughput.  You can use Uplink Balancing to facilitate fail-over for tunnels and to partition tunnels among multiple uplinks.

    Was any of that what you were looking for?  I suspect what you want already is a feature request.

    Hi there...  knowing both products.... NO, the ASG can't do that... this is Peplink proprietary stuff.... (Peplink says: "Our patent-pending Bandwidth Bonding Site-to-Site VPN....")

    Yes, in today's world, with higher-bandwidth WAN connections, Astaro's Uplink Balancing capability would seem to be able to address any situation where Peplink might have had an advantage before Astaro released V7.4 two years ago.

    This is easy to configure in Astaro: bind IPsec traffic to the other site to the preferred interface, select Uplink Interfaces as the interface for the IPsec connection and configure the Remote Gateway with an Availability Group where the first entry is the IP of the preferred interface selected in the other site.
