VPN Access Issues a few Questions...

Clearly everyone here has done this more than I have and I am hoping for a few suggestions based on a test unit I am trying out now...

We setup the SSL VPN feature and access to our network seemed to be working fine. We tested it via a MiFi hotspot etc. Then tonight after I left the office we can now not see any of the mapped drives we setup earlier in the day.

Clearly I am very much missing something - Enable the VPN Client - Login - See it confirm the connection is good..

Then when I look at the mapped drives they are not available and no matter what we try they are not accessible.

As far as I can tell all the access settings are correct in the Web Admin...

Any suggestions for things to try?

Also I have used other VPN's and when connected where they are connected too is pretty straight forward..

In our case or possibly it is just an Astaro thing I see a message pop up that states I am now connected to mydomain.net.o - What is that "o" for? I will admit I am not a network guru by any means but I have not see that before on a VPN connection - that said thou I have not used VPN SSL in the past...

Am I going nuts? Did we configure something wrong? Is that normal? I even watched the videos on the site here and sadly that pop up login confirmation was not shown...

Any help would be great....

    Hi, bburzycki, and welcome to the User BB!

    There aren't any drive mappings that can be defined in Astaro, so it's not clear to me what you're doing.  If you aren't logged in to your domain, you won't have access to any shares already configured on your computer, and attempting to create a new mapping will cause you to get a Windows prompt asking for your name+password.

    Sorry about the confusion..

    I am still trying to figure out the specific issues here...

    We have mapped network drives i need to access - one is on a server and the other is on a NAS device.

    I have mapped them using their IP and folder locations...

    Example: \192.168.168.2\foldername

    It seems when I first install the SSL client on the remote machine all is fine.. then after restart I lose the ability to ever see those mapped locations again.. Now I am not remapping those drives only restarting the machine - re-enabling the VPN SSL client and then never being able to see them again..

    In other words:

    Startup Machine - Install SSL client
    Double click on mapped network locations
    All work and are accessible.

    Shutdown machine
    Startup
    Re-enable SSL Client
    Try network drives and all I get are errors that the drives are not able to be restored and thus are not available etc..

    I assume this is a setting somewhere - Or clearly we missed something in setup....

    All I know is it is pretty much reproducible every time on multiple machines...
