Astaro SSL VPN GUI problem

Hi, we are just setting up an ASG 220 (Firmware version 8.203 ) with SSL vpn connections.  All is working OK apart from one user.  When we run through the install, everything seems tpo work OK. But when the user tries to start the VPN connection, there is no connect option available.  Right clicking on the VPN icon on the GUI, only shows 'Settings and Exit'  

OS is Win 7.  I have set the application to run as an admin automatically.  User is local admin as well.  

I have found the following reg entry recommended to be changed with regard to GUI issues, but this has made no difference.  

 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced]
"EnableBalloonTips"=dword:00000002

Have uninstalled and reinstalled.  

Any ideas ?.

    I remember there are some registry entries that point to the installation and config directory. If these keys point to an old/empty/wrong directory the gui will not find the config directory. Sometime those keys are not deleted on uninstall.

    If you use the openvpn guii the regkeys are 
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OpenVPN-GUI
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OpenVPN

    If you use the astaro flavour of the SSL VPN Client it should be something like
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Astrao
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Astaro-GUI

    Can you verify those keys and the settings below?

    We have exactly the same problem.
    There is just no connect option. Only "settings" and "exit" … like Thomo described already.

    @BAlfson: there are no logs because there is no attempt of a connection … ‘cause the option is just missing

    It is really driving me crazy. I have this issue on two Windows machines (Win7 x64) meanwhile. Any more ideas out there?
