Error message setting up RED client

I just downloaded and installed 8.300.  I wanted to try out the new RED client setup to link 2 ASG's together.  I went to RED Management -> Client Tunnel Management and tried to add a new tunnel.  I entered a name and host name and clicked Save.  I got this error message:

malformed JSON string, neither array, object, number, string or atom, at character offset 0 (before "(end of string)") at /core/modules/core_tools.pm line 651.

    I think you won the prize, Jim! [;)]

    If you get the same error again, I think you'll want to burn a new CD at a slower speed and re-install.

    Burn a new CD?  This was just an upgrade, not an install from CD.

    It looks like bad luck to me, Jim.  You might try restoring a pre-8.300 backup to see if that fixes it, and a reboot, but that looks "terminal" to me.

    I don't think this was 'bad luck".  The first system I updated was a mini-itx box I have at home.  Next I updated a 220 to 8.300 and got the exact same error.  I think this is a bug in the Astaro software.

    I figured out what was causing the error.  I wasn't giving the the provisioning file.  Astaro has now posted some instructions on how to setup the new ASG/RED config and that's where I discovered my error.

    They updated the up2date.astaro.com entry for 8.300.  The instructions are brief, but there is enough there to get the tunnel setup.  Beyond that, I'm not sure how you setup the routing to make it work.
