Anyone have any thoughts on moving away from MPLS to full mesh IPSec VPN in regards to VoIP and video conferencing? We currently have an MPLS for site-to-site communication and backhaul Internet access to our HQ with low bandwidth links (1.5Mb). We need to increase bandwidth, but upgrading our MPLS is a costly endeavor. My thoughts are to get public fiber connections and secure with IPsec encryption. Purchase some Astaro Firewalls and deploy QoS. It's far more cost effective (seemingly), but the complexity increases as does latency. Any input would be appreciated. Especially from those who have gone through the process.
