Cisco VPN Client missing DNS?

Hi,

When connecting to ASG with Cisco-VPN Client, the client does not get a DNS-server address assigned. If I manually edit the vpn-adapter properties (Windows Client) and specify a DNS, it works - but that's not something I want to teach my users ...

When using SSL VPn (Astaro Client) it works.

Any way to fix this?

Regards

K.Hempkins

  • Hi, KH and KP, and welcome to the User BB!

KH, I think that's a limitation of the Cisco client.

'WebAdmin>>Remote Access' 'Advanced' - complete this.

'Network Services >> DNS' 'Allowed networks' - "VPN Pool (Cisco)" included? (or whatever is in 'Pool Networks:' in 'Remote Access >> Cisco VPN Client').

    Cheers - Bob
