RDP through VPN

I just purchased two new Lenovo Laptops running W7. With both of these laptops I have installed THe VPN client and set up the rules on the firewall. When I first install the client I can RDP to machines on the network with no issues. after I restart the laptops and reestablish the VPN connection I can not RDP unless I uninstall the VPN client and reinstall it. Then again it is only good until I restart. Both user accounts work fine from other computers. I must be missing something fairly simple.

Are you running the client using Run As Administrator or did you setup the clients following the article at https://support.astaro.com/support/index.php/SSL_VPN_without_full_administrative_user_rights_under_Windows_7?

Is other traffic affected or only RDP?

Do you see anything that stands out in either the Packet Filter or IPS logs?

I confirm scott. Most cases its the UAC of vista and windows 7. You have to run it as administrator. Or you can change on the shortcut the properties so when it starts it starts as administrator.

In the log screen of your ssl vpn youll see error routing when its not started as an administrator. Exit app and run as administrator.

The article seems to be helping I found the reg key for auotstart in a different location, But I am just having a hard time getting the shortcut to execute from the start up folder right now. But clicking the shortcut and then connecting in the taskbar is working
