L2TP / IPSEC name resolution

I like being able to use the native Windows VPN client to connect to a network, so I decided to connect my client's remote users via L2TP / IPSEC. I could use the SSL VPN, but haven't enjoyed the screwing aorund with the OpenVPN client inthe past.

Pretty easy setup, but I have a question that should be easy for you veterans.

ASG 120 running Ver. 8.102
VPN using its own pool to issue addresses.

When I connect to the network, I can ping IP addresses but not names. Would be nice to be able to connect to shares via server name rather than by numerical addresses.
Is there a packer filter thing that needs doing, or am I missing another step somewhere?

Gonna keep digging through the site for some hints, but thought someone might know right off, thereby saving me time...

Tried changing the DHCP to the server, but the VPN won't connect that way. Not sure if there's something that needs to be done on the SBS 2011 server to allow the Astaro to grab addresses from it...

Hi, did you setup packetfilter rules to allow traffic to your LAN?

Also, if you're using Astaro's DNS proxy, check that it allows the VPN networks.

When connected to the VPN, do an Ipconfig /all. Does the output have anything populated for DNS servers on the VPN connection?

Continue to use the default VPN Pool (L2TP) addressing.

Implement Barry's advise in the post above +
WebAdmin>>Remote Access>Advanced Tab. Populate the client options.

So the packet filter rule and the DNS settings in Remote Access/Advanced...
