PPTP VPN Over 3G

Hello All - I apologize if this has been addressed somewhere and I missed this...  Has anyone had any success connecting to a VPN (PPTP) from a Android tablet/phone, over 3G?  I've tried from a XOOM (Verizon) and a Nexus S (T-Mobile) and my symptoms are the same.  The VPN connects, and starts to load a web page (title of the page, etc...), but stops after 5 seconds or so.  It never drops the connection, it just stops transferring data (no ping, etc...), and I haven't seen any errors in the VPN logs or anything in the packet filter log to suggest an issue. 

Over Wifi, everything works flawlessly.


Any thoughts?
