L2TP VPN with iPhone over wireless

Hi guys,

We recently got out ASG 110, so it's a hardware system here.
Before deploying in the datacenter where it's going to be used as a VPN system for employees we wanted to test it before.

However, I can't seem to get my phone to connect anywhere outside of the default network it ends up in.

Situation:
192.168.1.0/24
.254 being the gateway outside
.200 being the ASG 110 VPN interface
.201 being the ASG 110 outgoing interface

Using a linksys wrt54g to access the network with my phone.

I've created a user and enabled l2tp over ipsec with PSK. This works without trouble by default. However once I want to add a packet filter rule, masquerade or even  static route. Even when the created rule/route isn't activated I'll be unable to even connect to the VPN in the first place.

So.. what am I missing here?
