iPhone (Cisco VPN Client) and VPN connection on demand

Hello,

I just try to get the VPN connection on demand with the iPhone to work. If the "Establish VPN connection on demand" options is enbaled and I try to access the internal mail server nothing happens. The ASG is a V8 and a manual VPN connection without the "Establish VPN connection on demand" options is working.

    Have the same problem, have you fixed this?
    Should really be useful for us.

    No, it is not fixed till now. I just use the manual VPN connection.

    OK, I noticed that I had to download and install the iPhone vpn client after I marked the demand option in Astaro. After that I could switch on and off this option in the iPhone. Still doesn´t work. Before I used "Establish VPN connection on demand" I had the option to save the password for the vpn in my iPhone. This was really good and is almost better than use connect on demand if you have to enter the password all the time.

    I have the same problem. Did somebody fix the problem to save the Password?

    If you uncheck the option "Establish VPN connection on demand" and reinstall the vpnclient again in your iPhone you have the option to save the password in the vpnclient. On the iPhone you can set the password here: Settings -> General ->Network-> VPN -> Choose Your Company name (IPSec) -> IPSec -> Password. But maybe you wanted this with "Establish VPN connection on demand" active? That doesn´t work yet what I know of.

    Any update on this? I am trying to enable it with no luck. I have downloaded the new vpn client and enabled the relevant config but I still can't connect


    According to the document http://www.apple.com/iphone/business/docs/iPhone_VPN.pdf there should be 3 options that cna be configured on the device. I don't have such options though. I have ios5.01
