VPN from work to home

Hello,

First time ever configuring a VPN type connection so go easy on me.

What im wanting to achieve

ADSL connection from work via XP machine
Ive made generic VPN connection & pointed it to external interface of ASG box at home

Now on ASG 7.509 at home i need it to accept this work connection & pass through to one of my XP machines on 192 private network.

I want to be able to control this machine like i was sitting in front of it.

Is there a howto on this type of scenario i imagine it would be quite a common question.  On the client (work) side when it is asking for a username & password for example where is this autentication taking place? what part of ASG to i provide these details of authenicating?

Any help from you gurus, as always is muchly appreciated

    I´m going easy on you ;-)

    Read the guide for ASL and searching the forum will help you to achieve your goal *and* you will find/learn a lot besides...

    To give you a direction:

    * you need a user in ASL to authenticate
    * Activate VPN *and* create a Rule that lets the VPN-NW reach your internal XP machines
    * Use L2TP/IPSEC for WindowsXP (on remote XP)
    * Use "shared secret" for authentication
    * Use RDP to connect to you internal machines
