MS SQL connection fails if connected by IPsec

Hello,

we are using an ASG 7.507, having some Notebookusers, which
connect by the ASC to our local network.

The internal net uses 192.168.115.0 network, the external 192.168.116.0

When the NB-Users work here locally everything works fine, we have a program, using
a client - server installation, which connects to an sql-server database on the server.

Local it connects fine, but when these users work by VPN IPsec ASC connection we get an sql-connection error.

Everything else works fine, from these notebooks with enabled vpn I can ping the server by IP or by his name and in the other direction (server to client) too, no problem, we can use the shared folders on the server, everything is perfect - just this one program makes an error, trying to connect to the mssql server (local it does, with no problems)

Any Ideas ?

Thanks a lot,

greetings, Gerret

  • You said client-server.  Is this an app run in a browser?  If so, and you're using the HTTP/S Proxy, what mode is it in?

    What is the sql-connection error?

    Cheers - Bob
