ASG WebAdmin freeze after DHCP Server Config in Remote Access

Today I configured my Software based Astaro V8.

It was all working fine till I did the following.

I have my Astaro configured with Remote Access and L2TP over IPSEC.
Initially I had it configured to use the default IP Address range provided by the Astaro box when using L2TP over IPSEC.

Then I changed this to say to use a DHCP Server and pointed it to my Windows SBS 2008 Server which also acts as a DHCP server.

After I configured Astaro seems to have completly frozen up:
- No WebAdmin.
- No SSH.
- No Internet Access through the Astaro Box
- No VPN.

What have I done wrong?

    Hi, rvaneynd, and welcome to the User BB!

    There should be no overlap between the "Internal (Network)" and the IP-range used for a VPN.  Use the standard "VPN Pool (L2TP)" which is 10.242.3.0/24 and you will have no problems.

    Thank you for this.
    I understand what you are saying and will change it to use the Standard IP range for L2TP over IPSEC.
    But what worries me is the behaviour of the ASG after making the change to use the external DHCP server, the complete freeze.

    Can you reproduce the lock up? If so, I'd like to ask you to gather some debug output. I suspect it to be a routing issue, but am not 100% sure. Please activate L2TP debug logging before connecting. Then, when it's broken run `ip route show tables all` on the console to see the routes. Anything suspicious?

    I will setup a second Software ASG and will try to replicate it on that one.

    I think I have to add one thing.
    I have had the freezing problem several times this week while trying to setup the Software ASG and manage to get it to freeze very single time.
    Now I know that it is related to the Remote Access DHCP setting.
    But I believe the system will continue to behave when the External WAN NIC is set to DHCP. I use a Static IP.

    But I will have more later today after I setup a duplicate system to test.

    I have setup a replica system which is ready for debugging.

    It setup the same as my production system.
    Only using the Standard LT2P IP Address Range instead of my DHCP Server address range.

    Please let me know what you want me to do?
