OS-X + Tunnelblick 3.1b12 + ASG 8.001 OVPN config == brain damage

Hello there,

Downloading the OVPN configs from the portal and importing into Tunnelblick doesn't work out of the box.

My config:

Snow Leopard 10.6.4
Tunnelblick 3.1b12
ASG 8.001 OPVN config downloaded from portal

Importing works OK but Tunnelblick just errors out:

30/08/10 10:31:04 AM openvpn[2773] Options error: Unrecognized option or missing parameter(s) in /Users/username/Library/Application Support/Tunnelblick/Configurations/first.last@fw0.domain.com.ovpn:17: ip-win32 (2.1.1)

The .ovpn file contains the line (dope!):

ip-win32 dynamic

You need to edit the ovpn file prior to import or afterwards and remove that line. It lives in the following directory ( is your logged in user):

/Users//Application Support/Tunnelblick/Configurations/first.last@fw0.domain.com.tblk/Contents/Resources

Edit as root then w!

Now you will be able to run TunnelBlick, connect and authenticate.

THEN ... one last gotcha: if you view the TunnelBlick Detail log you will see the connection continually reconnecting with a "No such key" error.

In the TunnelBlick Details dialog make sure you uncheck Monitor Connection.

That's it ... up and working. Hope this helps.

    This will be fixed in 8.002, sorry for the inconvenience.
