IPad IPSec connection problem

My bold:

2010:08:02-15:26:37 firewall pluto[8796]: "D_REF_MYjDytKanh"[4] 89.x.x.104:19128 #7: X.509 certificate rejected

Have you used this certificate successfully elsewhere?

Certificates provide superior security, but they do that by being very strict.  A few problems I've had personally are: 'Hostname' of Astaro not an FQDN that is resolved by public DNS to the IP of "External  (Address)", 'Hostname' has changed since the VPN CA was generated, CA has changed since the cert was generated, cert doesn't have 'VPN ID [hostname]' = the FQDN above, cert is generated without all fields filled in, etc.

I think you might need to regenerate the Signing CA ('Certificate Management' 'Advanced' tab), then the "Local X509 Cert" and redo the VPN configuration with it.  Again, before you start, it's critical that the hostname of the Astaro be an FQDN that resolves to your primary public IP.

i didn't use the local X509 cert ... i used another ... sorry for my stupid questions ... was my fault... now it runs like a charm
