How's the speed for site-to-site?

I'm looking to get an Astaro gateway for my main office and I guess the RED gateways for the two remote locations.

I've read that it's just like a "long ethernet", so does that mean my remote clients would get IPs from the main office vs their local router?

And would client/server database apps run OK remotely like this?

We're currently using LogMeIn to get remote access and it's pretty fast, wondering how it compares.

    Hi, dibba, and welcome to the User BB!

    The short answer is "Yes/No. Yes. It's better."  But these are questions that you want your reseller to answer for you so they have skin in the game.

    The cool thing about this compared to what you're doing now is that the Astaro RED can extend all of the protections of the Astaro to the remote office.  Once you've used the setup you're considering, you'll be amazed at how powerful and simple the Astaro solution is.

    In my non-technical and with no empirical data to support this opinion, when using RED versus other Astaro VPN technologies, it seems much faster. Perception only.
