remote users from home

I need some remote users to get into the network from home.

What's the best way or best client suited for this?  Does Astaro have a free one?  Cisco?

    hi I don't mean to be a bother but I really cannot open it.
    clicking on the pdf link only takes me to another page with the same pdf link.  I click on that and I see two pages with the same words describing how it's a document for setting up l2tp over vpn.  But there's nothing else.  
    I tried saving it to my desktop and it complains it is corrupt.

    Hi I am unable to get the L2TP IPSEC to work.  Seems like traffic for port 500 hits my firewall and then gets dropped.
    I followed the document's steps but it's not working.
