SSL VPN Connects but Cannot Reach Internal Server

Hi,

I'm running 7.505. Using SSL VPN, I can get connected, but I cannot ping the Windows 2008 server running on the internal network nor can I connect to it to use any of it's resources. The server itself does not have any firewall running.

I connect and get the default "VPN Pool" address. Internal network is 192.168.1.0/24.

I'll try to post a couple screen shots so someone can see what I'm doing wrong.

I've also been through a lot of posts here in this forum and so far, none of the solutions I've tried have worked.

What is the addressing scheme of the network you are connecting from? 192.168.1.0/24 is a real common network used for home networking, etc... if your PC is on the 192.168.1.0/24 network, and the remote VPN network is the same, your PC will have a hard time deciding where the packets should route. Try changing either the remote or the internal network subnet and try again, if this is the case.

Hi Bruce,

Local machine I'm testing with now is 192.168.200.128. I'll attach a screenshot of IPCONFIG.

Strangely enough....I can ping workstations on the Internal network from the remote PC....but not the server. From inside the network I can ping the server just fine....just not through the VPN.

Nevermind....

I'm the offsite consultant. The part-time tech at the business had changed the default gateway on the server a few weeks back when they were having network issues.

Fixed that and everything started to magically work. Go figure...
