How to accomplish this VPN setup for iPhone

Hi All,
well I'm able to connect successfully with my iPhone to my ASG using the Cisco VPN setup or L2TP. What I'm not able to accomplish is that the iPhone will be "seen" as a device in my LAN.
So it will work like all other devices (PC's & servers) like browsing on the internet (without extra configuration) using Safari or Opera mini (which uses port 8080 (same as the Transparent Proxy ASG). Also some iPhone Apps.

When I'm connected to my WiFi (behind ASG), all these things are working properly.
But when I'm connected over 3G to ASG, I've to set manually the Proxy to the IP of ASG and port 8080 (So Opera Mini will not work). Also some other Apps like "WhatsApp" aren't able to connect to the server.

Hopefully you understand what I'm trying to accomplish here. First of all; is this setup possible? If so, how do I do this?

    I use the L2TP client from the iPhone.  On the 'Remote Access >> Advanced' page, make sure you have the DNS entries.

    The disadantage of the Cisco client is that the Astaro Remote Access doesn't provide DNS (will be fixed in V8).  Several of us experimented with a workaround NAT rule: 'VPN Pool (Cisco) -> DNS -> Any : DNAT to {name server}'.  That hasn't worked for me, but I thought someone said it worked, so maybe I don't have it right.

    I've accomplished it as following:

    Made an L2TP Remote Access, defined the internal DNS server in "Advanced".
    Also must configure L2TP this way:
    Assign IP addresses by: DHCP Server
    DHCP Server: my internal DHCP Server
    reachable on interface: internal

    Then everything is working perfectly; internet, apps, etc., etc.

    p.s.: is there a way to change the time out period?
