Issue with iPhone and pptp (also with IP assignment)

I'm using the basic version for vmware of astaro, and am having an issue with setting up pptp for an iphone.

First, the IP block is not setting up correctly. My network has a 10.0.0.0 setup with netmask of 255.255.0.0 (/16). When I try and setup a block for IPs (such as 10.0.100.0), it tells me its not a /16 network ip and needs to change it to 10.0.0.0.

Also, when I get connected, I cant reach anything on the network, I had to set the IPs given out as 10.0.100.0 /24 and am not sure if that is causing the issues.

Jetkins is spot-on about the overlap between the VPN Pool and you internal networks.

Actually, with PPTP, all of the networks defined on Astaro interfaces are accessible without PF rules. In fact, unlike the other Remote Access options, you can reach the PPTP server through any interface. You do need to include the VPN Pool in 'Allowed networks' for the HTTP/S Proxy if you want to go through it, and you'll need a masq rule, too, if you want all internet accesses to go though your VPN.
