Issue with iPhone and pptp (also with IP assignment)

Hello,

I'm using the basic version for vmware of astaro, and am having an issue with setting up pptp for an iphone.

First, the IP block is not setting up correctly.  My network has a 10.0.0.0 setup with netmask of 255.255.0.0 (/16).  When I try and setup a block for IPs (such as 10.0.100.0), it tells me its not a /16 network ip and needs to change it to 10.0.0.0.

Also, when I get connected, I cant reach anything on the network, I had to set the IPs given out as 10.0.100.0 /24 and am not sure if that is causing the issues.

    I'm no expert, but I believe you need to set the PPTP VPN address pool outside of your LAN subnet.  So if your LAN subnet is 10.0.0.0/16, you might set your PPTP VPN pool to 10.10.0.0/24.

    Don't forget you'll also need a PF rule allowing VPN Pool (PPTP) --> Any [or whatever you want to open up] --> LAN (Network)
