IPSEC: two DSL on HQ --> two remote offices --> every office on its own dsl

Hi folks,

we have the following idea:

the HQ has two dsl lines:
1. line a for vpn to remote office a and websurfing,mail,remote access,...
2. line b for vpn to remote office b

Line a is existing and the HQ initiates the connection to the remote office a. In the VPN Config in the HQ i've set the local interface to the wan interface a and it works like a charm.

Now office b should be localted on line b. The HQ also initiates the connection. So I am going to set the local interface to interface with line b.

Is this working? Are there some additional configurations needed (some routing tables?)?

yours
Marco

  • In the 'IPsec Connection' definition, you choose the physical Astaro interface you want the VPN to connect through.  You should have no problem.

If you want to allow offices "a" and "b" to access each other via these connections, here's a tip that shows how to change the VPN definitions to allow it: http://www.astaro.org/104117-post2.html.

    Hi Bob

thanks for your replay! So it looks very easy

Office a and Office b do not need a connection.
