SSLVPN client Windows XP SP3

Im using a ASG220 (7.502) that works fine with Vista SSLVPN-clients but I cant get my Windows XP SP3 clients to work.
What happens is that the trafficlight get green for about 5-10 seconds and then turns red again.

Ive tried to add these to the lines to the SSL VPN Client config-file (.ovpn) without success.

route-method exe
route-delay 20

    I had the same issue on a few machines but not all XP SP3 workstations. Installing the OpenVPN client and using that appeared to resolve the issue at the time. I have no idea if it was related to MS updates or Astaro updates but I no longer have the problem even if I revert back to the Astaro client on those machines.
