New Certificate?

OK, I admit I'm an idiot.

I had a (mostly) working VPN configuration, SSL, L2TP and PPTP all would work, the problem was, I had originally set up the box for another project and the wrong name was coming up.

I thought, "Delete the bad certificate which still held the old name, and I can recreate the cert"

Trouble is, the only certificate I can create with the GUI is the WebAdmin cert, which none of the VPN tunnel protocols seem to like.

HELP! I'm at a loss as to how to fix this. I want to make a new x509 Certificate for VPN connections. The x509 user certificates are there, but no server certificate other than the WebAdmin certificate that doesn't work.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated, and you are welcome to make fun of me for my stupidity.

Edit: forgot to add, this is an ASG120 running 7.502

    I'm an old fart, and I wouldn't beat myself up for deleting a cert... I would for failing to have backups though.  A serious person also would have tested backups, but I've made that mistake once myself.  A real pro tests backups, UPSs and such on a formal schedule - at least once a year.

    You could regen the certs and reinstall the VPNs, but, since you're in the USA, you can submit a trouble ticket to Astaro Support US with Gold or Platinum support, and they will get you started and aim you in the right direction.
